Stop YELLING!
Use the "Clip System" wisely. Meaning you have rules in your class, follow them, don't get angry and move their clip down
Make "Essential Agreements" with your students and have them sign it so they are aware of why they are moving their clip up or down.
PRAISE, PRAISE, PRAISE!
The students touch their clip not you, if they refuse move it down twice, this usually gets them to do it
Be consistent!
Remember, this is not a system to hurt children, but to teach them to stick to the rules and to realize that doing the right behavior gets much more attention than the wrong behavior.
REMEMBER: treat students how you want to be treated, you don't have to yell or be mea, no matter frustrated you are, to correct behavior
